Cassie Farnsworth BS, ATC
My name is Cassie Farnworth. I was born and raised in small town in Northern California. I spent the last four years at University of the Pacific studying athletic training. I graduated this past May and became a Certified Athletic Trainer, or ATC. I will be pursuing my masters in kinesiology at Point Loma Nazarene University this year. I am very excited to be a part of University City athletics and look forward to a great year with everyone!
I am the head athletic trainer at University City High School and am available to all students to evaluate injury or illness and provide treatment and rehabilitation. My hours are normally M-F from 2:30-5:30pm, by appointment, or as posted on the door in the training room next to the back door of the boys locker room. The duties of an athletic trainer lie in prevention, evaluation, and assessment of injuries. From there, recommendation can be made regarding severity of injury. Many injuries can be treated and rehabilitated within the athletic training room, while others need further diagnosis made by a physician. I will strive to provide the best possible care to the student athlete and this is only successful with the help and communication between student, parents, and coaches. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions regarding your child.
I look forward to getting to know every single one of you this year!
